Job summary

Verus Mortgage Capital in Washington, DC seeks a Business Analyst to bridge business stakeholders, mortgage operations, and technology partners to identify, evaluate, and implement technology and AI-driven solutions across the loan origination lifecycle.

You will lead discovery with business teams, assess current processes, and propose scalable, automated approaches using AI, automation, and emerging tech to improve speed, accuracy, and user experience, while supporting new products and programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
5+ years of Business Analyst or related experience.
3+ years mortgage industry experience in non-Agency contexts.
Experience leading technology implementation projects.
Experience with workflow automation, AI, ML, or automation preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities to automate or eliminate manual processes in the mortgage lifecycle.
Lead discovery discussions focused on goals and outcomes.
Evaluate AI, automation, and emerging technologies to solve business challenges.
Develop business cases and assess value, feasibility and impact.
Partner with stakeholders to drive system enhancements from discovery to implementation.
