Job summary

Credit-Unions-of-Alabama is seeking a Mortgage Loan Servicing Assistant to support members with existing mortgage loans, including escrow processing, OC/LOC advances, payoff requests, and research of archived documents. You will assist mortgage originators in closing and post-closing processes, including document capture and auditing.

The role requires 3–5 years in a financial institution, knowledge of underwriting concepts, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years in a financial institution.
• Mortgage lending processing, underwriting, or booking preferred.
• 2+ years in title insurance in lieu of lending experience acceptable.
• Must be eligible for NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with existing mortgage loan servicing tasks.
• Process escrow, open line of credit advances, payoff requests, and related documentation.
• Support mortgage originators in closing and post-closing activities.
• Coordinate information between members and loan officers in an organized fashion.
