Job summary

Flat Branch seeks a skilled mortgage servicing QC professional to perform quality control reviews across performing and default loan portfolios, ensuring compliance with agency, investor, insurer, regulatory, and company requirements. You will identify defects, document findings, and support remediation efforts.

The role requires strong analytical skills and deep knowledge of FHA/VA/USDA/GNMA guidelines, with experience in default, loss mitigation, and regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mortgage servicing experience including in depth knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, GNMA and Conventional guidelines.
• Deep knowledge of loan default, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, foreclosure, and claims requirements.
• Understanding of Loan Servicing Standards as set forth by the CFPB (RESPA, TILA, etc.).
• Knowledge of disclosures, TRID documents and other regulatory documentation applicable to residential servicing.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must present a professional image to represent Flat Branch at all times.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control reviews of mortgage servicing activities, including customer service and complaint handling.
• Cash posting and payment application.
• Investor reporting.
• Escrow administration.
• Bankruptcy.
• Collection activities.
• Loss mitigation.
• Foreclosure.
• Property preservation and inspection activities.
• Claims processing.
• Review servicing practices for compliance with federal and state regulations, investor requirements, and company policies.
• Identify defects, exceptions, trends, and control weaknesses; document findings and recommendations.
• Maintain thorough documentation supporting all review conclusions and findings.
• Prepare quality control reports and assist with remediation tracking.
• Maintain current knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA, FHLMC, and GNMA servicing requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
