Job summary

Self-Help in Durham, NC is seeking a Servicing and Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end servicing of consumer and mortgage loans, ensuring adherence to GSE guidelines and managing sub-servicers while driving risk mitigation and portfolio performance.

You’ll supervise QC, vendor reviews, and the team’s loss mitigation and default servicing efforts, collaborating across departments to maintain accurate reporting and strengthen operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• 7+ years of experience in compliance, finance, loan operations, loan servicing and/or loss mitigation.
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on management style.
• Deep knowledge of the mortgage industry, lending principles, and products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full servicing of consumer and mortgage loans from acquisition to liquidation.
• Ensure GSE policy compliance and supervise sub-servicers.
• Monitor portfolio performance, risk, and loss mitigation strategies; drive improvements.
• Lead QC program and audits with internal and external partners.
• Direct vendor reviews and due diligence for servicers.
