Job summary

UMB Bank’s Mortgage Sales team seeks a dedicated Mortgage Sales Support Manager to supervise LOA staff and back up Mortgage Loan Originators with technology and daily tasks. You will help grow loan productivity by managing the pipeline and ensuring a strong customer experience across the loan lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years in mortgage banking, S.A.F.E. registration, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in mortgage banking or mortgage lending, preferably in Sales.
• Requires S.A.F.E registration at time of employment and maintain current NMLS registration.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise LOAs assisting MLOs throughout the loan process.
• Mentor LOAs to ensure smooth customer communication and operations.
• Assist MLOs to optimize performance via daily pipeline reviews and rate lock management.
• Onboard and train sales associates on policy, LOS, and daily tasks.
• Use credit bureau software to pull and reissue credit reports as needed.
• Measure performance with sales scorecards and data sheets.
• Support CRM usage for marketing materials and client communications.
• Develop relationships with mortgage partners to identify training opportunities.
• Track referrals to maximize sales opportunities.
• Guide MLOs in AUS findings, loan restructuring, and problem resolution.
• Communicate with mortgage leadership about activities, needs, and issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
