Semper Home Loans, a direct lender licensed in 42 states, is looking for an experienced Mortgage Recruiter to join our executive team. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and HR Director, this position plays a key role in driving growth by identifying and onboarding high-performing loan officers and branch managers.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to candidate inquiries from recruitment campaigns and evaluate their qualifications.
- Source candidates through outbound efforts, including cold calls to loan officers and branch managers.
- Complete branch and loan officer questionnaires and gather necessary information for HR follow-up.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to draft term sheets and compensation plans.
- Manage the distribution and collection of contracts and coordinate licensing setup in NMLS.
- Provide recruits with pricing scenarios using Optimal Blue and communicate margin details with Secondary.
- Assist new hires with loan submissions and align support based on their business model.
- Stay current on investor programs and maintain a strong understanding of industry trends.
- Work with Processing to ensure a smooth transition for incoming loan officers.
- Oversee onboarding and monitor production pipelines in Encompass.
Requirements:
- 3–7 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
- 2–5 years of experience in recruiting, preferably within the mortgage sector.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple roles simultaneously.
- Self-directed with the ability to meet deadlines and drive results independently.
- Effective communicator with a strong understanding of mortgage sales.
- Experience with Optimal Blue and Encompass is preferred.
