Job summary

Fidelity Bank is seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriting Operations Manager to oversee daily operations for the Mortgage Underwriting and Processing teams serving secondary market and residential portfolio lending.

You will direct department managers, ensure policies and regulatory compliance, and drive efficiency improvements while collaborating with Origination, Sales, and Investor relations to deliver a smooth borrower experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum five years underwriting experience.
• Three+ years in a managerial role in a high-volume mortgage underwriting environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Mortgage Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants daily.
• Ensure conformance with bank policies and federal/state/investor regulations.
• Train and motivate managers reporting to Residential Lending Operations Manager.
• Provide lending decisions and guideline waivers within authority.
• Coordinate with Origination staff to approve loans and resolve issues.
