Job summary

loanDepot is seeking a customer-facing SPOC for borrowers in default or facing imminent default, focusing on Loss Mitigation alternatives and resolving complex servicing issues. You will manage a portfolio of loans, coordinate with Loss Mitigation, and ensure compliance with GSE/HUD/VA/USDA guidelines.

The role requires strong phone and written communication, experience in a contact center, and NMLS licensing. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of SPOC loan servicing experience.
• Experience in a contact center with inbound/outbound dialer.
• Ability to pass the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) exam; licensed in every state they conduct business in.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, High School Degree or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the SPOC and maintains relationship with borrower until hardship and delinquency status is overcome from day 60+.
• Liaises between the customer and Loss Mitigation.
• Fully understand all GSE, HUD/VA/USDA guidelines for retention and disposition options.
• Manages a portfolio size of 150 loans + by meeting investor and company guidelines.
• Responsible for reviewing and collecting missing documents on incomplete workout packages within timelines.
• Works with delinquent borrowers to resolve past due delinquency and negotiate payment arrangements.
• Discusses appropriate foreclosure alternatives and submission requirements.
