Job summary

University Bank is seeking a Loss Mitigation Specialist to reduce foreclosure risk by working with delinquent borrowers to identify sustainable retention or liquidation options. You will evaluate borrower finances, counsel on available solutions, and ensure all loss mitigation reviews meet investor, insurer, and regulatory requirements.

You will review financial packages, monitor workout options with various guidelines, and maintain accurate records in ICE MSP and LoanSphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; mortgage loss mitigation experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of foreclosure prevention options and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with mortgage servicing platforms and related regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review borrower financial packages for completeness and compliance.
• Evaluate workout options per investor guidelines and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with CFPB rules and Regulations X/Z during underwriting reviews.
• Communicate with borrowers, lenders, insurers, and investors to develop sustainable workout strategies.
• Maintain accurate servicing system records and ensure correct posting of payments.
