Selene Finance is seeking a Loss Mitigation Underwriter in Dallas, TX to evaluate mortgage loans for loss mitigation options and ensure compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines. The role reviews borrower documents, prepares notices, and collaborates with servicing partners to move approved solutions forward.

The ideal candidate has experience in mortgage servicing or underwriting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in mortgage servicing, loss mitigation, underwriting, or related area preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple files, priorities, and deadlines.

Mansioni

• Analyze mortgage loans to determine eligibility for loss mitigation options (repayment plans, modifications, short sales, deeds-in-lieu) per guidelines.
• Review loss mitigation packages for completeness, request information as needed.
• Prepare and issue approval, denial, and other required notices per requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Lending when referring borrowers for refinance options.
• Collaborate with Mortgage Specialists and servicing teams to obtain documentation and finalize solutions.
• Remain current on loss mitigation programs and investor, GSE, and insurer requirements.
• Maintain documentation in loan servicing systems and workflows, including investor tracking.
• Complete escrow analyses and pro forma calculations to support modification decisions.
• Meet productivity, quality, and workout-to-portfolio performance expectations.
