Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking a Loss Mitigation Assistant to support the loss mitigation department. This role involves processing loan modification documents, tracking trial payments, and coordinating audit responses while maintaining strict compliance with industry regulations.

You will handle customer communications via phone, email, and mail, assist with reporting to investors, and help the team stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and third-party software applications required.

Responsibilities

• Overnight orders and track trial payment plans for all workouts.
• Assist with mailing Loan Modification Agreements.
• Order f/c fees and follow up until received.
• Assist with permanent Loss Mitigation documentation on I5.
• Mail copy of fully executed Loan Modification agreement to borrower.
• Maintain office supplies inventory and placing orders when needed.
• Create loss mitigation folder for analyst/order credit report.
• Coordinate department meetings.
• Interact with consumers via phone, email, or letter with patience and professionalism.
• Ensure high quality and timely response to issues.
• Assist with internal and external audits and investor reporting (CFPB).
• Identify regulatory changes and update internal policies accordingly.
• Prepare and submit mortgage insurance and investor reporting for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and USDA.
• Review NSF reports and issue appropriate HBR letters for CA, NV & WA.
• Analyze accounts for repayment arrangements and update HBR letters as needed.
• Provide training for new and existing employees.
