Job summary

Veterans United Home Loans in Springfield, MO is seeking a Loan Specialist to guide borrowers through the home loan process. This entry-level role provides full training, supports you in initiating the home buying journey, and partners with a marketing team that brings in qualified leads.

You will work with borrowers by phone and email, complete paperwork, and collaborate with internal and external teams. The company offers base pay with commission potential and room to grow within the Veterans

Qualifications

No mortgage background required; entry level position within the company where mortgage experience is a plus but not necessary.
NMLS license is required (we can help you get it when you start).
Strong communication and adaptability are essential.

Responsibilities

Engage with borrowers, understand their goals, and provide expert guidance to help them feel informed and confident.
Run borrowers' credit through an online system and help them find the right loan for their situation.
Walk borrowers through the loan process, explain everything clearly, and help them get the right rates and terms.
Handle all the paperwork and keep the borrower’s file on track until the loan is officially closed.
Spend most of the day communicating with borrowers by phone, email, and other tools.
Collaborate with internal and external parties; teamwork is critical to the role.
