Northrim BanCorp, Inc. is hiring a Mortgage Loan Processor in Indiana to verify documents, coordinate with originators and borrowers, and ensure loans are accurate and compliant for underwriting and funding. This role emphasizes accuracy, timely communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

You will handle credit reports, appraisals, and related documentation while maintaining strong customer service and adherence to loan policies and regulations. Prior mortgage experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of loan processing experience preferred.
• Mortgage industry experience is a plus (but we’re open to strong candidates!).
• Military education or experience may substitute for education or work experience.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming loan documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Verify borrower information, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with borrowers and Loan Originators.
• Order credit reports, appraisals, flood certifications, title work, insurance, and other required documentation.
• Prepare and submit clean, organized loan files to Underwriting for approval.
• Update loan systems based on underwriting decisions and loan status changes.
• Communicate with customers regarding loan status, next steps, and timelines.
• Track and follow up on outstanding conditions and documentation.
• Perform thorough document audits prior to funding.
• Resolve exceptions and conditions to keep loans moving forward.
• Stay up to date on FHA, VA, and conventional loan guidelines and changes.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Support the team with additional duties as needed.
