Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of mortgage loan processing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in loan processing software (Preferred: Encompass) and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of mortgage guidelines, loan types (FHA, VA, Conventional), and RESPA regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Prior banking or credit related experience with a general understanding of banking fundamentals.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines, multi-task, and work with other departments and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare initial disclosure packages and disclose to meet federal guidelines.
• Documentation collection and verification: review loan applications for accuracy and verify borrower employment, income, assets, and credit reports.
• Loan file management: organize and submit completed loan packages to underwriting.
• Liaison duties: communicate with borrowers, underwriters, attorneys, and title companies to move the file forward.
• Conditions clearance: gather necessary documentation to satisfy underwriter conditions.
• Compliance and regulatory adherence to bank, investor, and government guidelines (FHA, VA, Conventional).
• Closing coordination: prepare documentation for closings and coordinate to schedule closings.
• Handle, process, and secure sensitive information and communications.
• Perform additional duties as requested by Director of Residential Lending.
