Express Employment Professionals in Springfield, IL seeks a mortgage processing support professional to bridge loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers from application to closing.

The ideal candidate will organize documents, verify information, and coordinate workflow to ensure timely approvals while maintaining compliance and delivering excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Experience in mortgage processing, banking or finance is preferred but not required.
• High accuracy in reviewing financial documents and data entry.
• Strong written and verbal communication for daily client interaction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage borrower files: collect, organize, and review documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify information by ordering third-party docs such as credit reports, title searches, appraisals, and employment verifications.
• Coordinate workflow by submitting loan packages to underwriting and clearing conditions for approval.
• Communicate status updates to borrowers, loan officers, and real estate agents clearly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines and mortgage regulations.

Job description

Pay Rate: Up to $22.00 / hour (Based on experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role: In this role, you will act as the bridge between loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to ensure a seamless loan approval process from application through closing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Files: Collect, organize, and review borrower documentation (pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, etc.) for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify Information: Order third-party documentation including credit reports, title searches, appraisals, and employment verifications.
• Coordinate Workflow: Submit complete loan packages to underwriting and clear any conditions required for final approval.
• Communicate: Keep borrowers, loan officers, and real estate agents updated on the status of loan files in a clear, professional manner.
• Ensure Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to company guidelines and federal/state mortgage industry regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Prior experience in mortgage processing, banking, administrative support, or finance is preferred, but not required.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in reviewing financial documents and data entry.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for daily client interaction.
• Tech-Savvy: Microsoft Office Suite
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet strict closing deadlines.
