Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. In this role, you will manage residential loan files from application through closing by ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with lender, investor, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively with borrowers and internal stakeholders, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple loan files and deadlines.

What You Will Do:

  • Verify loan files comply with lender, investor, company, and regulatory requirements
  • Stay informed on investor guidelines, loan products, program updates, and lending overlays
  • Coordinate communication between borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, title companies, appraisers, and other stakeholders
  • Oversee an active pipeline of loan files and provide status updates, condition tracking, and closing timeline information
  • Evaluate loan packages for completeness and accuracy before submitting files to investors
  • Monitor underwriting and prior-to-funding conditions and facilitate timely resolution of outstanding items
  • Examine title commitments and coordinate the clearance of open issues before closing
  • Collect and validate required documentation from borrowers and third-party providers
What You Will Need to Be Successful:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience processing residential mortgage loans
  • Proven ability to review loan documents and ensure file accuracy and completeness
  • Experience managing loan files throughout the full loan lifecycle, from application to closing
  • Working knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, investor requirements, and loan origination platforms
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with borrowers and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and compliance
  • Ability to balance multiple loan files and competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Knowledge of residential mortgage products, including Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
