Job summary

North Island Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to manage the full loan cycle from application through funding. Under general supervision, you will ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely processing.

You will work with loan officers, underwriters, and title/escrow teams, review DU findings, run credit reports, order third-party reports, and prepare final closing documents for funding.

Qualifications

• Five years of work experience as a Mortgage Loan processor in a financial institution or equivalent.
• NMLS registration/licensing required.
• Strong working knowledge of mortgage loan terminology, documentation, lending policies, and investor requirements.
• Proficient in FNMA D/U and major Loan Origination and Document Preparation system.

Responsibilities

• Complete the full cycle of mortgage loan processing from receipt of loan application to final loan documentation for funding.
• Input loan information into LOS and review DU findings, credit reports, title reports, flood certifications, appraisals, and income/assets.
• Pre-qualify members and discuss rates, terms, and financial options.
• Produce LE/CD within required time frames and re-disclose when circumstances change.
• Coordinate with borrower, loan officer, underwriter, and title/escrow to ensure timely funding.
• Maintain compliance with investor guidelines and service levels; communicate status updates to all parties.
