Job summary

Bluestone Bank is seeking a Mortgage Processor to review loan documents, coordinate with processors and underwriters, and ensure timely closings. The role involves data entry in the loan system, maintaining accuracy, and supporting multiple loan files in a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree or higher in business, experience with ICE Encompass LO and POS tools, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in a business-related field preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in mortgage processing, origination, or closing; retail banking experience considered.
• Experience with ICE Encompass LO and Point-of-sale software preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Teams, Excel & Word).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Reviews all documentation for completeness and enters data into the loan origination system.
• Communicates with loan processor for required documentation and follow-up to obtain items.
• Assists in gathering information to clear underwriting conditions and resolves issues promptly.
• Communicates with loan officer, processor, closer, title and insurance companies to ensure timely closings.
• Interacts with loan applicants to facilitate point-of-sale tools and viewing electronic documents.
• Keeps up-to-date with current industry standards.
• Maintains accurate information in the loan processing system while handling a high loan volume.
• Assists in reviewing procedures and outputs of more complex activities.
• Provides coverage for loan processing/closing as requested.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as needed.
