Job Title: Mortgage Loan Originator (REMOTE - Florida)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating loan volume through proactive lead generation, developing strong referral networks, and guiding clients through the mortgage loan process from application to closing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with deep industry knowledge, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping clients achieve homeownership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, attorneys, financial advisors, and other referral sources to generate loan opportunities.
  • Assist borrowers in selecting the best mortgage products to meet their financial goals.
  • Pre-qualify applicants and gather all necessary documentation for the mortgage application process.
  • Analyze and evaluate financial information, credit reports, and property evaluations to determine borrower eligibility.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, as well as internal company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records in the loan origination system (LOS).
  • Coordinate with underwriters, processors, and other stakeholders to facilitate a smooth and timely loan closing.
  • Stay current on market trends, mortgage products, and lending regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Active NMLS license required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential mortgage loan origination.
  • Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan programs.
  • Proven track record of self-generated business and referral-based sales.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with loan origination software (e.g., Encompass, Calyx) and Microsoft Office Suite.
