Job summary

Myers Capital Hawaii, LLC in Honolulu is seeking a Junior Mortgage Loan Originator to join our growing team. You will build relationships with real estate professionals, assist borrowers through the loan process, and contribute to a smooth, customer-focused experience.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in mortgage origination, an active NMLS license or ability to obtain one, and a solid understanding of Conventional, VA, FHA, and Jumbo loans.

Qualifications

• Active NMLS license (or ability to obtain immediately).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven track record of success in mortgage sales and origination.
• Strong understanding of Conventional, VA, FHA, and Jumbo loan products and guidelines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans (Conventional, VA, FHA, Jumbo, and Portfolio products).
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources.
• Interview prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data, determine objectives, and advise on product and pricing guidelines.
• Gather required documentation and work closely with processing and underwriting teams to ensure timely loan closings.
• Stay current with evolving mortgage guidelines, industry trends, and compliance regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service, keeping all parties updated throughout the process.
