Job summary

Sage Home Loans, based in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator for HELOC and Refi products. The role combines in-office collaboration at our South Charlotte HQ (Mon–Thu) with remote Fridays, focusing on guiding clients through prequalification, approval, and closing with a customer-first approach.

You will partner with Operations and Processing teams to manage a robust pipeline, make outbound calls, and own the client experience from first contact through closing.

Qualifications

• 1+ year mortgage sales experience with proven performance.
• NMLS-licensed loan originator with refinance experience; HELOC experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional refinance products and HELOC benefits.
• Strong understanding of LTV/CLTV concepts and explain tradeoffs clearly.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls to discuss refinance and HELOC products and eligibility.
• Explain rate-and-term and cash-out refinances to clients and gather required docs.
• Communicate loan progress to consumers and collect documentation.
• Make outbound calls to generate new business and nurture existing clients.
• Manage a pipeline to meet conversion goals and SLA timelines.
• Collaborate with Operations and Processing teams to move loans from application to closing.
