Job summary

First American Bank NM is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate documents for family residential loans, including portfolio and secondary market loans.

You will interview borrowers, determine eligible programs, order credit reports and appraisals, and assist processors while maintaining lender relationships.

Candidates should have real estate lending knowledge, strong communication and organizational skills, and a Bachelor's degree; two years mortgage lending experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field; mortgage/real estate knowledge preferred.
• Two years mortgage lending experience preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Interview prospective borrowers to determine applicable loan program.
• Make credit recommendations.
• Order credit reports, appraisals, surveys, title documentation, and assist processors with verification process.
• Maintain working relationship with borrowers, realtors, service providers, and fellow employees.
• Meet disclosure requirements and adhere to all federal and state banking and lending regulations.
