D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to promote business and manage loan origination and client relationships within our Financial Services Branch.

The candidate will educate buyers on financing options, manage the loan process, and coordinate with sales and operations to ensure smooth closings. Ideal applicants have a Bachelor’s degree, 1–2 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and a current MLO license per state requirements; MS Office proficiency is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• One to two years of related experience and/or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by state.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Interview mortgage applicants to understand financing options and goals.
• Maintain reports and notes within origination software and CRM.
• Review new leads daily and contact them to earn their business.
• Daily pipeline management from application to funding.
• Present loan products in sales meetings and builder communities.
• Coordinate with operations to facilitate an efficient loan process.
• Provide required disclosures to applicants in a timely manner.
• Attend loan closings when possible.
