Job summary

MortgageRight, with corporate headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama, is seeking experienced self-generating Mortgage Loan Originators to join our team remotely nationwide. We offer an aggressive compensation plan based on volume and sales ability and the opportunity to sell low rates while supporting your own originations.

You will report to the Branch Manager and manage the loan process from application to closing, gather documentation, and enter the 1003 in Encompass.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of self-generated mortgage loan experience.
• Contacts and referrals with local realtors, builders, etc.
• NMLS License.
• Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or equivalent software.
• Must register as a Mortgage Loan Originator with NMLS under the S.A.F.E. Act.

Responsibilities

• Builds and develops referral contacts to generate sales of residential mortgage loans and build a pipeline.
• Owns the residential mortgage loan from application to closing.
• Collects documentation from each applicant and enters 1003 in LOS (Encompass).
• Maintains knowledge of available loan products (1-4 family, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, conventional).

Mortgage Loan Originator
MortgageRight is looking for experienced self-generating Mortgage Loan Originators to join us and work remotely nationwide. We have an aggressive compensation plan based on volume and sales ability and offer the opportunity to sell low rates! The Mortgage Loan Originator reports to and collaborates with the Branch Manager to perform a wide range of duties related to the origination of residential first mortgage loans. Must possess superior customer service skills, leadership skills, be extremely detail oriented, and self-motivated.

Principal Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

• Builds and develops referral contacts (customer referrals, realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts) to generate sales of residential mortgage loans and build a pipeline.
• Assumes overall responsibility for the residential mortgage loan from application to closing.
• Collects appropriate documentation from each applicant and Enters 1003 application in LOS (Encompass).
• Maintains knowledge of available loan products. Originates permanent single family (1-4), FHA, VA, USDA, JUMBO and conventional mortgage loan products(FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA, etc.)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• One or more years of relevant self-generating mortgage loan experience
• Contacts and referrals with local realtors, builders etc.
• NMLS License
• Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, resulting in the ability to interact with all levels of employees within the organization
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word) or other transferable software packages.
• Strong desire to excel in a competitive environment.
• As defined by the S.A.F.E. Act, must register as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and maintain the unique identifying registration number.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience usingEncompass LOS is a plus
