Job summary

Rio Grande Credit Union in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate real estate loans in line with federal guidelines and internal policies. The role reports to the Mortgage Manager and is non-exempt, full-time, with a minimum starting wage of $21.67 per hour.

Responsibilities include interviewing applicants, analyzing finances, preparing disclosures, and coordinating with the Mortgage Loan Processor to close loans efficiently while maintaining a strong referral network.

Qualifications

• Experience- 2 to 5 years related experience.
• Education- 2-year degree or completion of specialized course of study OR 5 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and to communicate clearly in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Interview loan applicants and request appropriate credit documentation.
• Analyze applicant’s financial status, credit, and proposed transaction to determine feasibility.
• Prepare up-front disclosure package and ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Coordinate with Mortgage Loan Processor to ensure timely handling of loans.
• Manage a heavy pipeline of loans and maintain client relationships.
