Job summary

Regions Bank in Indianapolis, Indiana seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to direct the origination of residential mortgage loans from a borrower through a branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate requests, and maintain contact with customers as deals progress.

This role requires registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS), a High School Diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of mortgage lending experience with proven production. Commission-based compensation applies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Mortgage experience with external business via referrals.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, updating progress and requesting docs.
• Structures loans to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Develops detailed marketing plans and networks with realtors, builders, and planners.
• Answers calls and walk-in customers to discuss loan products and qualifications.
• Makes sales calls to develop new business or retain existing customers.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and takes steps to correct encroachments/violations.
