Job summary

Regions Bank in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans through our branch network. You will complete applications, assess credit quality, and maintain ongoing client contact to progress loans through processing and underwriting.

You will build external referrals, structure compliant loans, and promote Regions products while meeting regulatory requirements. This role offers commission-based earnings with opportunities across Mississippi locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Abundant mortgage experience developing external business via referrals.

Responsibilities

• Complete mortgage applications for submission to processing and underwriting.
• Evaluate loan requests, analyze financial data, and determine qualification of collateral and credit history.
• Maintain contact with loan customers and communicate loan progress.
• Structure loans to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Develop and execute marketing plans with potential and existing customers.
• Answer customer calls and discuss loan products and qualification information.
• Make sales calls to develop new business or retain existing business.
• Cross-sell other bank products and services.
• Read surveys and appraisals and address encroachments and violations.
• Participate in networking to promote loan products.
