Job summary

Coastal Towne Mortgage, a division of TowneBank Mortgage, is seeking a Loan Officer Assistant/Processor to support loan applications from start to finish. You will initiate borrower contact, collect documentation, and enter data into the loan system while coordinating with loan officers and real estate partners.

The role requires 2+ years in a similar role, strong organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience as a Loan Officer Assistant or Processor.
• Ability to gather underwriting documentation and disclosures.
• Excellent communication with borrowers, Loan Officers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate accurate and timely completion of loan applications.
• Make initial contact and follow up with borrowers.
• Take loan applications and gather underwriting documentation.
• Support clients throughout the mortgage process from start to finish.
• Enter data into the Loan Origination System.
• Handle administrative and organizational tasks.
• Assist with marketing and promotion of the Loan Officer’s business.
• Attend Loan Officer meetings and real estate partner events.
• Communicate professionally with borrowers, Loan Officers and internal teams.
• Build relationships with realtors, builders and referral partners.
• Follow AML / BSA compliance requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in keeping the mortgage process moving efficiently and delivering an exceptional experience to borrowers and partners.

Your Day-to-day May Include

• Facilitating accurate and timely completion of loan applications
• Making initial contact and following up with borrowers
• Taking loan applications and gathering underwriting documentation (credit docs, disclosures, etc.)
• Supporting clients throughout the mortgage process from start to finish
• Entering data into the Loan Origination System
• Handling administrative and organizational tasks
• Assisting with marketing and promotion of the Loan Officer’s business
• Attending Loan Officer meetings and real estate partner events
• Communicating professionally with borrowers, Loan Officers, and internal teams
• Building relationships with realtors, builders, and referral partners
• Following all AML / BSA compliance requirements

What You Need to Succeed

• Valid NMLS number (or ability to obtain one)
• Two or more years of experience working as a Loan Officer Assistant or Processor
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced mortgage banking environment

Bonus Points If You Have

• Microsoft Office experience
• Relationships with real estate professionals or referral sources
• Background in customer service, sales, real estate, or mortgage banking
