Neches Federal Credit Union is hiring a Mortgage Loan Officer at the Nall Branch in Port Neches, TX. You will guide members through the mortgage process, evaluate loans, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities include interviewing members, analyzing credit and income documents, approving or denying loans, and coordinating closings. This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to make independent judgements within guidelines and to work within deadline timeframes
• A comprehensive knowledge of all mortgage lending products, policies and procedures
• Proficient in analyzing credit reports, income documents, and other financial information
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to members
• Exhibit strong relationship building skills to grow and maintain relationships with realtors, builders, and members
• Maintain a high level of professionalism
• Dependable; punctual and regular attendance
• Ability to work as a team player
• Willingness to participate in Mortgage networking events
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development; willingness to learn new processes

Responsabilités

• Conduct thorough mortgage loan interviews to assess members’ needs and recommend appropriate loan products.
• Analyze credit reports, income documents, and other financial information to determine borrower eligibility and loan terms.
• Approve/deny and oversee the disbursement of loan request.
• Oversee and ensure closing dates and deadlines are met.
• Guide members through the mortgage application process, including gathering required documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Providing ongoing support and assistance to members throughout the mortgage loan process, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Ensure compliance with licensing requirements by maintaining an up-to-date license through the National Mortgage Licensing Registry.

Hours: Scheduled for 40-hours per week between the hours of Monday through Friday 8:15AM to 5:15PM
