Job summary

Dream Finders Homes, Inc. is seeking a results-oriented Loan Originator in Chantilly, VA to generate new business and referrals while maintaining top-tier client service. You will work with partners to close loan packages and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, NMLS licensure in VA or MD, and proficiency with Encompass. Weekend on-call rotation and daily EST hours are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Licensure with the NMLS in VA or MD.
• Experience with Encompass and related mortgage tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure loan transactions close smoothly.
• Monitor pipeline, meet sales expectations, generate referrals and new business.
• Explain mortgage products and prepare client-facing presentations and cost analyses.
• Package files and coordinate with loan processors, underwriters and title/escrow staff.

Our team is experiencing tremendous growth, and we are looking for a results-oriented Loan Originator who can generate new business and referrals, as well as maintain the excellent relationships we have already established with clients and referral partners. The ideal candidate will be able to assist our team in closing loan packages while maintaining an excellent level of service and communication with our clients. Lending or mortgage industry experience is required. You must have strong organizational skills and superb customer service and communication skills. Note:

Candidates must be able to work a schedule of 8am-5pm EST and participate in a weekend on-call rotation 1-2x/month.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal and external partners (e.g. loan officer assistant, loan opener, loan processor, underwriter, referral partners, escrow, title, etc.) on behalf of the applicant as needed to make sure the loan transaction goes through successfully
• Monitor sales pipeline, meet sales expectations/SLAs, get referrals, and generate new business opportunities
• Create personal relationships with clients - offer additional information and answer questions about home mortgage products
• Create and explain mortgage coach presentations for clients (total cost analyses)
• Package files to send to the loan openers/processing staff
• Lock loans, structure files, and review final closing disclosures (CDs) with clients

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ year of experience as a mortgage loan originator
• Licensure with the NMLS in either VA or MD
• Experience with Encompass
• Willingness and ability to participate in a weekend on-call schedule rotation 1-2x/month
• Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills
• Intermediate understanding of loan program guidelines and various types of loans such as Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan originator
• Licensure with the NMLS in VA, MD, and any other states
• Experience with Encompass, Simple Nexus, AND Optimal Blue
• Willingness and ability to participate in a weekend on-call schedule rotation 1-2x/month
• Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills
• Intermediate understanding of loan program guidelines and various types of loans such as Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans
