Job summary

Stillman Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Closer to prepare, review, and close mortgage loan documents across Conventional, USDA, Portfolio, and New Construction programs. The role requires TRID knowledge, accuracy, and timely execution to ensure compliant closings.

You will coordinate with loan officers and operations, verify data in LOS, and manage funding, disclosures, and wire instructions while meeting SLAs in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in mortgage loan closing, funding, or related mortgage operations role.
• Strong understanding of TRID timing requirements, closing disclosure regulations, and mortgage compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare closing instructions, create closing documents, balance loans, and finalize Closing Disclosures for multiple mortgage programs.
• Review and verify all required aspects of the loan process before authorizing and releasing funds.
• Review loan data in the LOS for accuracy and input into systems of record.
• Analyze and evaluate loan information against underwriting guidelines for closing readiness.
• Verify funding amounts, issue funding authorizations and wire instructions, reconcile to ledger accounts.
• Ensure accuracy of loan application data and resolve inconsistencies before closing.
• Reconcile system-generated alerts by gathering relevant documentation.
• Communicate timelines and expectations to manage SLAs.
• Monitor the loan closing workflow to meet deadlines and SLA targets.
• Provide status updates to loan officers, borrowers, and operations teams.
