Job summary

Howard Hanna Real Estate Services is seeking a Mortgage Loan Closer to ensure timely and accurate closings of residential loans. You will review closing documents, verify data, and coordinate with title companies, attorneys, borrowers, and lenders to meet investor guidelines.

The role requires knowledge of TRID, various loan types, and strong attention to detail with excellent communication and customer service skills to support internal and external partners throughout the closing process.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of mortgage closing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of residential loan closing documents and procedures (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA).
  • Familiarity with TRID and other applicable compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review closing documents in accordance with loan approval terms, investor guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate loan closings with title companies, attorneys, borrowers, lenders, and internal departments.
  • Verify loan data, including loan amount, interest rate, and fees, to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure all closing conditions are met prior to disbursement.
  • Issue and manage Closing Disclosures (CDs) and final settlement statements.
  • Perform funding authorization and coordinate disbursement of funds.
  • Communicate regularly with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely closings.
  • Maintain complete and accurate loan files in accordance with company and investor requirements.
  • Keep current on federal, state, and investor regulations related to loan closings.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external partners.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organizedMortgage Loan Closerto join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the timely and accurate closing of residential mortgage loans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage documentation, compliance requirements, and closing procedures, ensuring a smooth transition from underwriting to funding.
