Job summary

autoMHatic Financial in Wayne, PA is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Closer to manage loan files from origination through funding and final audit. You will prepare closing packages, coordinate with borrowers, title and funding teams, and ensure all documents are accurate and fully executed.

The role requires at least 3 years in mortgage closings, strong Excel/Encompass skills, and a commitment to confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a loan closer in mortgage or consumer lending.
  • Knowledge of loan closing and funding processes, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and ability to learn loan origination and processing software (e.g., Encompass)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity in handling sensitive financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, collect, and review documentation to close loan packages and files.
  • Ensure all information is accurate and fully executed in closing documents, third‑party orders, and funding packages.
  • Review closing conditions to confirm satisfaction and execution per closing instructions.
  • Prepare and execute the transfer of lender funds for disbursement.
  • Maintain organized collateral files and retrieval processes.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and correspondence.
  • Maintain professional communication with borrowers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Support department goals through special projects and process improvements.

Summary

The Loan Closer plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and completion of loan files from origination through funding and final audit. This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and finalizing closing packages; coordinating with internal and external partners; disbursing funds; and performing post‑closing quality control reviews to ensure compliance with company policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Primarily office‑based role requiring regular use of a computer.
