Job summary

Howard Hanna Holdings is seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Closer to join our team. In this role you will prepare, review, and ensure timely closings of residential mortgage loans, with a strong focus on compliance and accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years closing experience, knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans, and proficiency with mortgage origination systems. You will coordinate with title companies, attorneys, borrowers, lenders, and internal partners

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage closing experience.
• Strong knowledge of closing documents for Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA.
• Familiarity with TRID and applicable regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review closing documents per loan terms.
• Coordinate closings with title companies, attorneys, borrowers, lenders, and internal teams.
• Verify loan data (amount, rate, fees) for accuracy.
• Ensure all closing conditions are met before disbursement.
• Issue Closing Disclosures and final settlement statements.
• Support funding authorization and fund disbursement.
• Maintain complete loan files per company and investor requirements.
• Stay current on federal, state, and investor closing regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to partners.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the timely and accurate closing of residential mortgage loans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mortgage documentation, compliance requirements, and closing procedures, ensuring a smooth transition from underwriting to funding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review closing documents in accordance with loan approval terms, investor guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate loan closings with title companies, attorneys, borrowers, lenders, and internal departments.
• Verify loan data, including loan amount, interest rate, and fees, to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure all closing conditions are met prior to disbursement.
• Issue and manage Closing Disclosures (CDs) and final settlement statements.
• Perform funding authorization and coordinate disbursement of funds.
• Communicate regularly with loan officers, processors, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely closings.
• Maintain complete and accurate loan files in accordance with company and investor requirements.
• Keep current on federal, state, and investor regulations related to loan closings.
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external partners.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of mortgage closing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of residential loan closing documents and procedures (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA).
• Familiarity with TRID and other applicable compliance regulations.
