Partners 1st Federal Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant in Fort Wayne, IN. The role primarily supports Mortgage Loan Originators with incoming 1st mortgage applications and in-office processing.

The position requires 3+ years of related experience (Loan Processor/Underwriter roles) and knowledge of mortgage procedures, with the ability to discuss denial reasons and rate quotes clearly. Some schedule flexibility within a 40-hour week is available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in roles such as Loan Processor, Document Specialist, Closing Specialist, Jr. Underwriter, etc.
• Mortgage origination experience a plus.
• Willing to obtain NMLS license within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist Mortgage Loan Originator(s) with incoming 1st mortgage applications and inquiries.
• Review credit history, income, assets, and loan opportunities; analyze documents.
• Communicate decisions and updates to members and staff from application to closing.
• Support marketing to referral partners and provide rate/closing cost quotes when needed.
• Stay informed on mortgage industry changes and local real estate markets.
