Job summary

Ruoff Mortgage is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant at our Downriver, MI location to support branch operations and provide excellent borrower experience. The role spans office administration and loan officer assistance, including file management, borrower communication, and pipeline progression from application through closing.

The candidate should be organized, adaptable, and able to maintain confidentiality while balancing multiple responsibilities, in a professional branch

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• 2+ years mortgage industry experience preferred (FHA/VA/USDA exposure a plus).
• Familiarity with marketing materials or campaigns is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage the visitor area; answer phones and respond to inquiries.
• Support file management for loan officers and maintain borrower communication.
• Collaborate with processors, closers, and underwriters to maintain workflow.
• Assist with updating social media content approved by marketing/compliance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and confidentiality requirements.
