Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate; Licensed Attorney.
• 5 - 10 + years in default servicing law firm or mortgage servicing company with focus on Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, regulatory issues, litigation, and/or real estate legal matters.
• Must have working knowledge in foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, and mediation cases.
• Experience with mortgage banking regulations, servicing guidelines or operational default servicing processes.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state laws impacting mortgage servicing.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal analysis, advice and counsel on litigation files as assigned.
• Review and handle high-risk litigation for the company and clients.
• Support with contested default litigation matters and court filings.
• Ensure policies and procedures are applied with legal implications considered.
• Stay current on applicable legislation, case law, and regulations; provide training to departments.
