First Merchants Bank in Franklin, TN is seeking a First Lien Lending Officer Assistant to coordinate with assigned Loan Originator(s) and cultivate borrower relationships throughout the mortgage process.

The role involves deal qualification, building a referral network, interviewing applicants, collecting financials, ensuring compliance, and assisting LO with administrative tasks while upholding the bank’s integrity and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Self-motivated with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the efforts of assigned Loan Originator(s) and assist in lead generation.
• Develop and maintain a quality network of business relationships for lending opportunities.
• Interview loan applicants, collect and review financial information, and assess creditworthiness for purchase, refinance, and construction loans.
• Ensure required reports are completed accurately and filed timely.
• Provide administrative support to LO(s): meetings, calendars, and email communications.
