Community Bank, N.A., a division of Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI), is seeking a Mortgage Loan Consultant to originate loans and grow mortgage business through strong realtor relationships. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service and adherence to bank policies and investor guidelines.

You will educate clients on loan programs, manage the loan process from application to close, and pursue cross-selling opportunities while maintaining regulatory compliance and ethics.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent preferred; HS diploma required.
• Specialized Banking & lending education/training.
• Active NMLS registration under The SAFE Act.

Responsabilités

• Grow Your Pipeline – proactively generate mortgage loan opportunities through networking with realtors, builders, financial planners and other referral sources.
• Close More Deals – identify customer needs, present tailored mortgage solutions, and guide clients from application to closing.
• Be the Go-To Expert – educate customers on loan programs, underwriting guidelines and market trends while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Deliver White-Glove Service – conduct personalized consultations in-office or at convenient locations for a seamless borrowing experience.
• Maximize Cross-Selling – refer clients to other banking services including deposits, business banking, insurance, and wealth management.
• Own the Loan Process – oversee application lifecycle coordinating with underwriting, processing, and closing teams.
