Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year relevant office experience or mortgage collections experience.
• Proficient PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet and email software.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and flexibility to support multiple business lines.
• Motivated team player with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem solving.
• Associate’s degree.
• One year of accounting experience.
• Two years legal document processing or foreclosure experience.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and Bank policy for all states that the Bank conducts business in.
• Notary Public (as required by department needs).
• Knowledge of M&T Bank systems.”

Responsibilities

• Handle the processing of MI Claim requests for the appropriate MI Company.
• Responsible for the accurate completion of REO Payee Header requests, Foreclosure Evaluations, and Mortgage/Consumer check processing.
• Initiate and complete the state demand letter process for assigned states including the appropriate registration procedure.
• Complete letter requests through Sharepoint Site environment including quality review and mail merge process execution.
• Manage daily production of Online Letter Writer (OLLW) queues, certified mail labels, and UPS requests.
• Assist Mail Operations with the sorting and delivery of mail items along with providing support for various warehouse duties.
• Process daily scanning/indexing functions for all business lines within Customer Asset Management.
• Identify and resolve problematic situations when appropriate referring more complex problems to Supervisor for review.
• Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
