Job summary

This role assists with drafting, reviewing, and researching regulatory documents and contracts while ensuring adherence to federal and state laws. The position involves coordinating third-party reviews, managing onboarding for marketing partners, and contributing to policy development and training materials.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required or preferred; five years’ experience in legal/compliance in the mortgage industry.
Ability to analyze and interpret agreements/contracts and regulatory requirements.
Professional written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of risk elements in residential mortgage origination.

Responsibilities

Assist corporate counsel with drafting, reviewing, revising, and researching legal and regulatory documents, including mortgage lending laws and compliance requirements.
Review, prepare, and administer marketing agreements, office space agreements, vendor agreements; guide business partners and finalize agreements for execution.
Ensure compliance of marketing agreements, RESPA partnerships, disclosures, loan documents with applicable laws and company standards.
Develop, maintain, and update compliance policies, procedures, training materials, and internal websites.
