Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee compliance risk management for residential mortgage lending. You will collaborate across lines of defense and business units, providing regulatory guidance, conducting assessments, and supporting issue management and regulatory changes.

The role operates within the 2LOD Compliance function, ensuring a strong CMS aligned with regulatory expectations and the organization’s risk appetite while leading and developing a team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience in Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit or similar field.
• Ability to assess compliance with applicable federal and state statutes and regulatory requirements.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance risk management activities related to residential mortgage lending operations.
• Collaborate with first, second, and third line of defense and with business lines to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide regulatory guidance, conduct compliance assessments, support issue management and regulatory change initiatives, and evaluate controls effectiveness.
