Job summary

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking a Mortgage Closing Manager in Dallas, TX to lead the Closing Department and ensure smooth, timely closings for our mortgage customers.

The role oversees post closers and assistants, maintains SLAs, and coordinates with title services and loan originators to meet investor requirements. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, a deep understanding of FHA/VA/Conventional programs and RESPA, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities and workload of the Closing Department, which includes post closers and closing assistants.
• Ensure all loans get to closing table without delay and provide highest quality of service to all customers, both internal and external.
• Maintain agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and other commitments to communication and loan stakeholder partnership for closing team and department.
• Ensure accurate Closing Disclosures (CDs) are provided to applicants, title contacts and internal colleagues.
• Address closing and funding questions from colleagues and third parties (title service providers).
• Communicate changes in company policies, procedures and commitments as needed.
• Produce, collect and organize closing documents for each closing file and verify completeness.
• Ensure closing conditions are met.
• Collaborate with Post Closing to clear investor conditions for timely loan delivery.
• Work with title company and loan originators to schedule closings timely and compliantly.
• Use various software for document production, organization, research and communication.
• Meet deadlines for closing, verification, expiring locks, etc.
• Comply with policies, investor guidelines, lending programs, and state/federal laws.

The Mortgage Closing Manager manages and leads a team of Mortgage Closers who ensure that the closing function t is an efficient, accurate and supportive part of the overall loan process necessary to assist Guardian Mortgage customers with a smooth, timely and compliant closing for their homes.

The individual should have a sincere desire to collaborate with colleagues and mortgage origination teams in an environment of mutual respect and high performance. Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a Mortgage Closing Manager at our Dallas, TX location.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 depending on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities and workload of the Closing Department, which includes post closers and closing assistants.

• Address any necessary closing and funding questions, processes and procedures requested from colleagues and third parties (including title service providers).
• Communicate changes in company policies, procedures and commitments as.
• Produce, collect and organize closing documents for each closing file. Review each closing file to verify documents are present, accurate, properly calculated, compliant and sufficiently complete for closing.
• Ensure closing conditions are met.
• Collaboration with Post Closing department to review and clear any closing and funding related investor conditions to ensure timely investor purchase and loan delivery.
• Work with other divisions, executives and business partners (e.g, title company, etc.) to schedule loan closings in a timely, accurate and compliant manner. Inform Mortgage Loan Originators of any funding conditions expected prior to funding.
• Use a variety of computer programs and applications for document productions, organization, research, communications and other assorted tasks.
• Meet deadlines for closing, verification, expiring locks, etc.
• Meet rules, obligations, and timelines to comply with company policy, contracts, investor guidelines, lending programs, and state and federal law and regulations.

Education / Experience Preferred

Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.

Working Conditions
