Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Mortgage Loan Closer/Processor to handle processing, administration, and closing of residential loans, including 1st mortgages and HELOCs. You will verify documentation, assemble files, order appraisals and title work, and prepare wire requests for closing packages.

You will also review documents for accuracy, enter data, and maintain compliance with bank guidelines. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of mortgage experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Finastra MortgageBot/Avista desired.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process and close residential mortgage loans including 1st mortgage and HELOC.

Description

As the Mortgage Loan Closer/Processor you are responsible for processing, administration, and closing of residential mortgage loans through activities such as processing loan documentation by verifying the accuracy of completion, maintaining loan records and files. Request Appraisals and Title Work. Prepare wire request for closing packages. Review loan documents for accuracy. Enters loan data into computer system. Works with Builders on Construction Draws.

• Closes Residential mortgage loans for 1st mortgage and closes HELOC loans.
• Ensures that residential loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data.
• Assembles and verifies accuracy of residential loan documentation.
• Processes 1st mortgage loans/ HELOC loans and orders Title and Appraisals.
• Checks documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures.
• Provides administrative assistance to the residential loan officer and staff, including updating loan data for entry into the financial institution’s computers and assembling documentation for residential loans.
• Answers telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and information.
• Communicates with builders to verify completion of construction loans
• Completes loan draws for builders.
• Reviews completed loan closing packages, completes scans and transfers data to appropriate departments.
• Remain compliant with bank guidelines, policies, procedures, regulatory and BSA requirements.
