Job summary

WCCU Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Closer to support the closing process for mortgage loans in Wisconsin. The role involves preparing closing documents, disbursing funds, and coordinating with loan officers, vendors, and members to ensure timely closings.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in a mortgage setting, strong knowledge of TRID regulations, and proficiency with Encompass and Microsoft Office. This position reports to Mortgage Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Completion of some real estate lending coursework or post-high school education is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a mortgage setting preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of loan closing, funding and booking processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare closing documents and funding figures for mortgage loans.
• Coordinate with closing vendors, loan officers, and members to schedule closings.
• Input loan data into Encompass and other systems to generate compliant forms.
• Ensure disclosure deadlines are met and funding occurs timely.
• Train and educate staff as needed.
