Job summary

LoanCare is seeking a Claims Specialist III to join our mortgage servicing team. You will prepare mortgage insurance claims, verify documents, maintain production records, and support post-claim activities to ensure timely resolutions.

The role emphasizes accuracy, deadline-driven work, and collaboration with internal and external partners. Ideal candidates have 4–5 years in mortgage servicing or related fields, strong Excel/Word skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4–5 years of experience in default mortgage servicing and/or mortgage insurance claim and/or the legal field.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage industry practices and claims process.
• Familiarity with foreclosure process and guidelines.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel/Word) and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mortgage insurance claims on all agencies or investor-acquired properties.
• Complete reconciliation of all advances to be included in the claim.
• Validate all supporting documents needed for the claim.
• Maintain records and reports for management regarding daily production.
• Conduct internal quality control audits of post-claim activities.
• Identify trends and training needs for Supervisors.
• Assist with updating workstations for claim payments.
• Follow up and track payment of filed claims.
• Conduct research for post-claim activities and missing documents.

We are actively seeking to fill the role of Claims Specialist III. Our ideal candidate enjoys working with clients, both internal and external, eager to learn and maximize results, is detail oriented and driven to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Background in the mortgage or real estate industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mortgage insurance claims on all agencies or investor - acquired properties.
• Complete reconciliation of all advances to be included in the claim.
• Validate all the necessary supporting documents needed for the claim.
• Maintain clear records and reports for management regarding daily production.
• Conduct internal department quality control audits of post claim activities.
• Identify current trends that would result in additional training measures to be utilized by Supervisors.
• Complete internal department quality assurance audit prior to claim submission.
• Assist with updating appropriate workstations for claim payments.
• Assist with post claim agency/client demands.
• Follow up and track payment of filed claims.
• Conduct miscellaneous research to complete daily tasks.
• Conduct research for post-claim activities such as “missing documents and/or agency inquiries”.
• Complete tasks queue and notate internal system accordingly.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 - 5 years of experience in default mortgage servicing and/or mortgage insurance claim and/or the legal field.
• Strong knowledge of accepted business practices in the mortgage industry and understanding of claims process.
• Strong knowledge of foreclosure process and appropriate guidelines.
• LPS-MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform) experience.
• Ability to manage time and priorities.
• Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently and effectively meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically, Excel and Word.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Compensation Range

$19.33 - $28. 89 per hour. Actual compensation may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including qualifications, skills and experience.
