Job summary

Planet Home Lending, LLC is seeking a Loan Assumption Specialist to manage mortgage assumption requests, prepare documentation, and coordinate with borrowers and underwriters. The role requires mortgage processing/closing experience and the ability to operate within investor guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of mortgage experience with various investors, strong communication, and solid Excel/Office skills to support data analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associated Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive assumption request applications and prepare preliminary paperwork, drafting assumption package, communicating with borrowers and assumers.
• Review file documents to ensure completeness; preparing file for underwriting approval; assumption loan processing, drafting all documents.
• Manages a pipeline of loans; reviews file submissions for accuracy and completeness; verifies documents are in the loan file.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
• Submit completed loan package to underwriter for review and approval.
• Prepare loan closing package upon underwriter review and approval.
• Review loan packages, schedule closings and prepare loan closing documents.
• Process additions/removals of borrowers from deed and verify deed transfer docs.
• Follow procedures to ensure compliance with disclosures and requirements.
