Job summary

American Pacific Mortgage Corporation is seeking a Mortgage Advisor responsible for generating new business, qualifying customers and owning the customer experience from start to finish. You will originate, consult and educate borrowers, manage the file through closing, and maintain strong client relations.

Required are an associate degree, active NMLS Mortgage Originator license, and a proven sales track record.

Qualifications

• Post-high school degree in business, finance, marketing, or related fields; Associates degree minimum.
• Active NMLS Mortgage Originator License is required.
• Previous loan officer experience with proven sales results.
• Strong knowledge of loan guidelines and federal/state regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Originate new business regularly by taking complete applications and qualifying customers.
• Provide consultations and education on mortgage transactions, timelines and expectations.
• Qualify borrowers; pull credit; run AUS; price loans; collect documentation through closing.
• Set fees and order disclosures; ensure proper documentation is signed.
• Coordinate with processor for pipeline management and document collection.
• Price and lock the loan; keep Encompass records updated and accurate.
• Lead the transaction and communicate with team members and interested parties.
• Develop and maintain a personal business plan including networking, marketing, and product knowledge.
