Job summary

Taunton Comprehensive Treatment Center seeks a Substance Use Counselor to support patients with opioid use disorder. You will provide individual and group counseling, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology or social work required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate counseling in individual and group sessions.
• Plan, oversee, facilitate and document patient recovery.
• Co-facilitate group or family sessions as needed.
• Ensure timely, clear documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents.
• Prepare individual treatment plans for each patient.
• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
• Evaluate patient needs and determine referrals to other programs.
• Plan for aftercare for assigned patients.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Perform case management to ensure quality care.
• Liaise with referral sources and patients as needed.
