Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Temple, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe operation of fire life safety systems across healthcare facilities.

You will oversee upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance on critical systems on the 1st shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) Monday through Friday. The role requires hands-on experience with electrical and low-voltage systems, strong problem-solving, and a proactive approach to safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems.
• Ability to meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting 50 lbs or more).
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Oversee upkeep and repairs of life safety systems such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair security and door systems for safety.
• Perform low-voltage electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Maintain mechanical, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical building systems.
• Inspect for routine maintenance, diagnose problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders and track completion with available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring building systems run efficiently.
• Inspect installations for code and safety compliance.
• Use procedures to solve straightforward problems; communicate clearly.
• Deliver output following procedures under supervision.
